Dr. Beu was the lighting and electrical design coordinator for major projects including the Polus Mall and Sigma Towers in Cluj. After receiving a degree in Building Engineering in Cluj-Napoca and several research grants in Liverpool, Grenoble, Barcelona and Helsinki he earned a PhD in office lighting.
Prof. Beu discusses about energy efficient lighting systems (e.g. compact lamps, LEDs), lighting controls (e.g.motion sensors, intensity / timing control), light/solar tubes, as well as the human aspects when choosing the appropriate lighting system.
