I was a fan until you made you statements about when the lights should go up,on and gone. For some people it is one of the happiest times. Don’t like the lights-don’t look. No one needs anyones approval for that. Everyone is different? and we shouldn’t make judgements!!

I’ve always done my own outdoor lights and always to my parents home! Guess I’m pretty good at cause everyone loves them. And, when I am late putting them up (which happens alot…lol) all the neighbors ask when I am going to put them up cause they love them? and miss them! Hope my knee does ok this year to be able to get on the roof…ugh.

I totally agree with you about when Christmas lights should be on? lol! After Thanksgiving, they go up..after Christmas they go down. But eh, everyone does/views things differently.

I happen to agree with everything you said, even had the part about the sprinklers tripping our lights. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and we came home one evening and all the base? lights on our palms were out and we wondered why. Ding, ding ding….thank you sprinklers!
