I pulled the interior light bulb above my head in my 2000 dodge neon. My car battery keeps dying though. The light stayed on because the back passenger door wouldnt shut completely and the light stayed on. I pulled it and the battery keeps dying. It can get jumped and run all day. Once the car doesnt get started for a certain amount of time it would need a jump. I was thinkin , alternator, possibly a new battery of course
Assuming the battery is good (go test it), pulling the bulb may not solve the complete problem. The problem is happening at the switch for the back door which is closing and sending out power. Maybe it also sends out power to something else (interior lights, exterior lights, dashboard warning, etc.)
Disconnect the switch… not the light bulb and see what happens.

my mom told me that there is this thing that screws in like a light bulb but has a plug outlet on the end. so that you can plug in things like outdoor christmas lights…but we dont know the name of it or where to find one…does anybody know what it is and where to get one from or even knows what i am talking about??? please let me know so i can decorate outside for the first time for christmas!!!
It is called a ‘light socket to AC outlet adapter’, they sell them at Home Depot or a hardware store.

The interior lights the radio and the horn and the trunk button do not work? Why could all this fail at once? Did my car blow a bunch of fuses? Please Help!!!!! It all worked lastnight and i’m freaked out becuase i’m worried the car will die on me.
