also can i reset the service interval lights on a BMW without actually bringin it to a garage ??
To improve visibility of outside conditions.
During the take off and landing phase is when most emergencies happen. If the lights were on in the cabin, you would not be able to see the conditions outside the aircraft as well as if they were off if an evacuation were to become necessary. At night your eyes need adjustment and during the day the cabin lights can reflect off the interior of the windows. Hence, they are dimmed for both day time and night time flights.
(It has nothing to do with power conservation!)

How do I get electricity from a household electrical socket to flow through a metal pot? What wires are needed? Will the pot become a magnet? Would it be dangerous to touch the pot? What polarity would the magnet have? How could I get a metal pot to become an electromagnet?
Thanks for answering even one of the questions.
Yes – Well, I suppose you would first want to get some lightly insulated copper wire and carefully wrap the pot with the wire. Put 50 or 60 wraps of wire on the pot. Then you need to somehow increase the resistance so you don’t trip the circuit breaker due to a short. So, perhaps wire a light bulb in there. Then you put each end of the wire into the socket. I would be inclined to first measure the resistance of the "device" with a multimeter to first be sure you have at least maybe 20-50 ohms of resistance. Then plug it in and let her "fire". Fire is probably the key word. Also, don’t touch it while it’s plugged in and before it catches on fire. You would most likely generate some good magnetic force. Just how much, though, would depend on how thick the wire is and how many wraps of wire you put around the pot. So then there’s the fire. The fire will most likely occur due to the heat that you magnet makes. Since this isn’t a controlled experiment, the heat will either come really quick -say a couple of seconds, or slow like a minute or two. Then the insulation will melt off, the wire will short and hopefully trip a circuit breaker. I wouldn’t try this experiment because whether you do it inside or outside with an extension cord, you are going to start a fire and only hope that the circuit breaker trips. If you just want to "get electricity to flow through a metal pot" then just connect a wire to one side of the pot and another on the other side of the pot, then wire in a light bulb and plug it in. The pot will conduct electricity. Depending on the material, it could still catch the wires on fire. It will NOT create a magnet. If you touch the pot and are grounded you will get shocked. Don’t put the pot on the metal part of the stove because that is grounded and will trip the circuit breaker. Perhaps on a wooden trivit.

I just moved into the house, and I went outside to plug something into the electrical socket on the patio, and when i opened up the little covers, ants just came pouring out. Apparently, they’ve made their home in there. So how do I get rid of them?
You need to draw them out. I’ve had ants in my apartment and what I use is a mixture of Boric Acid with potato chips.
The smell of the salty greasy potato chips really draws them into one area.
Set this up in a container that the ants can get into but other animals can’t since it could be toxic to them. Try an empty margarine container with the lid on and punch some holes in the sides.
